University of Leeds

The University of Leeds is globally renowned for the quality of our teaching and research. We strive to achieve academic excellence within an ethical framework informed by our values of integrity, equality and inclusion, community and professionalism.
Our new strategy sets out our desire to have a global impact as a values-driven university. We ensure we provide students from diverse backgrounds with equal opportunities to excel and achieve their goals whatever their stage of life, including fostering a community of lifelong learners. We have a demonstrable commitment to widening participation, retention and attainment, with a focus on evidence-based interventions that support the achievement of challenging targets for particular groups.
Digital and online education is key to supporting lifelong and professional learning, and we offer a portfolio of online provision from short courses to full degrees for lifelong learners, professional learners and our campus-based students. Our educational provision is accessible, flexible and inclusive to enable as many individuals to benefit from a higher education as possible, particularly to combine study with work and other commitments. We also have a portfolio of degree apprenticeships provided in blended mode for working professionals.
Our long-standing Lifelong Learning Centre is at the heart of much of our commitment to lifelong learning, operating as both a multi-disciplinary School, and a specialist service supporting mature and part-time learners across the University. The Centre delivers courses that encourage and support student diversity, focusing on students from under-represented groups or those who don't have traditional qualifications.
