The Sandwell Colleges are proud to be the largest further education provider in the West Midlands. We work collaboratively with more than 2,000 employers and partners, alongside Sandwell and Birmingham councils and the West Midlands Combined Authority, to address skills needs across the region.

Learners are at the heart of everything we do. We continue to invest significantly in our Skills Hubs and Learning Campuses, committing £38 million to new facilities that support technical specialisms, workforce development, and flexible training. This investment enables adult learners to access new opportunities and progress in their careers.

Supporting learner progression is central to our mission. Regardless of background or starting point, we are committed to helping learners move into employment, further training, apprenticeships, and higher education. Strong partnerships with universities further enhance clear pathways to higher-level skills for both young people and adults.

At a time of both challenge and opportunity for our regional and national economies, our locally focused offer, strengthened by strategic partnerships and future-focused education, is more important than ever. Our commitment to lifelong learning is transformational, helping to tackle inequality, widen opportunity, and drive meaningful employment.

One example is our innovative partnership with the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. This collaboration will be a game-changer in addressing workforce needs across the NHS and the wider health and social care sector, creating routes for adults and professionals to retrain and develop specialist skills.
