About the Event
The Lifelong Education Commission's latest report, 'ESOL for Skills', in partnership with Ascentis, Leicester College, NCG, New City College, South Thames Colleges Group, and WEA, calls for a much bigger focus on enhancing the provision of English for Speakers of Other Languages courses, not just to ensure social integration, but as a vital component of a strategy for economic growth. Better delivery of ESOL for settled immigrants and for new migrants, including refugees and asylum seekers, should now be a key strategy for tackling skills gaps and shortages.
